ctempleton@agrifeeds.co.nz

Colin has been involved in many areas of the agriculture industry for most of his life.

Originally from Liverpool, Colin started out in the Merchant Navy then decided to pursue his love of farming firstly rearing calves. He worked his way through the ranks on-farm, and then turned his hand to sales with a mineral supplement manufacturer.

It was a two-year herd testing job in Taranaki in the 60’s that planted the seeds of Colin’s love for New Zealand, and he returned for a second time in 1999 for a new challenge.

Now as a Territory Manager for Agri-feeds, Colin’s sales area extends from Huntly, Cambridge, Hamilton, Te Awamutu, Otorohanga Te Kuiti and       Pio Pio.

Colin finds it easy to be enthusiastic about molasses, and believes that a farmer will never regret using molasses.

“For many years I have received genuine appreciation from clients. It has tangible results and has definitely been cost effective for them to use.”

A ‘Naki’ boy through and through, Ross Bowling enjoys getting out and meeting the Taranaki farmers in his area.

“It’s good to be able to help a farmer out by supplying products that increase production, or help lower empty rates,” says Ross. “At the end of the day, a happy, healthy herd is a happy farmer.”

Growing up on a farm, Ross has always been interested in cows, their nutrition and health, and is amazed at all the new research to help farmers improve their farming operation.

Ross also has a keen eye for advising people on the molasses feeding system that will suit their needs and budget.

“No matter what system you feed your cows on, molasses will give you a good return."

Rex Turnbull

rturnbull@agrifeeds.co.nz

Working for Agri-feeds across the Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Manawatu, Rex Turnbull gets to see a big variation in farming styles and climates.

“It’s an area of the country that I love,” says Rex.  “Whether I’m visiting a dry stock unit, or 3000 cow dairy farm, I enjoy helping farmers find the liquid feed that will help them achieve their goals.”

After growing up on a dairy farm in the Horowhenua, Rex spent over 15 years in rural retail and has been with Agri-feeds since 2002.

Rex firmly believes that molasses is one of the most complementary feeds you can buy, as it can be used with almost every other supplement available.

“Molasses improves the utilisation of feeds, which is not something that can be measured on a DM or ME basis.”
